Since the reopening after COVID, more overseas visitors have been coming to Tokyo. At the same time, more customers from abroad have been visiting our store, often saying, “I found you through your Google reviews.” Some people even leave reviews in foreign languages, and we are very thankful that new visitors come after reading them.

Recently, a mother from overseas visited us, saying she came because the reviews were very good. She was looking for a yukata for her son. Because he is very tall, she chose the largest size we carry and was able to take it home right away.

In Japan, it is surprisingly difficult to find ready-to-wear men’s kimono or yukata, especially in larger sizes. At Takemoto, we always stock a wide range of men’s items – from summer yukata to silk kimono and haori – so even travelers on a short stay can find something to wear immediately.
