甚平
甚平は半袖と短パンの組み合わせが一般的です。夏の部屋着やリラックスウェアとして人気があり涼しく気軽に着ることができます。花火大会や夏祭りに着る方もいます。
作務衣
作務衣は長袖と長ズボンの組み合わせです。もともとは僧侶が作業をする時に着ていた衣服と言われています。現在では部屋着や普段着として愛用する方も多くオールシーズン着ることができます。

At our main store in Ginza, we recently welcomed visitors from overseas who told us they were looking for a yukata.
After trying on a men’s yukata, they felt it was not quite what they had imagined. They then asked if we had something shorter.
Next, we showed them a haori jacket, but it seemed they were actually looking for something that could be worn closed in the front and more casually.
At that point, we introduced jinbei and samue.
As soon as they saw them, they immediately understood that this was the style they had been looking for.
They then visited our Ginza 1-Chome store, where we offer a wider selection of casual Japanese menswear, and purchased several jinbei and samue.
This experience reminded us that many international visitors search for words such as “yukata” or “kimono,” but what they are actually looking for is comfortable Japanese clothing that is easy to wear without a belt or special dressing techniques.

男の着物たけもと（本店）に海外から旅行のお客様が来店され浴衣を探しているとのことでした。メンズ浴衣を試着しましたがイメージと違ったようで、もっと短いものはありませんか？というお話になり今度は羽織を試着いただきましたが、今度は前を合わせて着られるものを探しているご様子でした。
浴衣でも羽織でもイメージと違うみたいなので、見本の甚平作務衣をお見せしたところ、ああ、こういうのが欲しかったということになりました。という流れでたけもと銀座1丁目店の方へ来店されました。当店で甚平や作務衣をご試着いただき甚平と作務衣をお買い上げいただきました。
今回のことで感じたのは、海外のお客様の中には「浴衣」や「着物」という言葉で探していても、実際には帯を結ばず気軽に着られる男性和服を求めている方もいらっしゃるということです。

If you are traveling in Japan, you may come across a traditional Japanese outfit called a samue.
A samue is a comfortable two-piece garment originally worn by Zen Buddhist monks while performing daily work around temples. Today, it is widely enjoyed by many people as casual wear, loungewear, and traditional Japanese clothing.
A samue usually consists of a wrap-style jacket and matching pants. It is designed to be practical, comfortable, and easy to move in.
Unlike formal kimono, a samue does not require an obi (belt) and can be worn much like modern clothing. Many Japanese inns, temples, and traditional accommodations use samue because of its comfort and simplicity.
Today, samue is popular not only among Japanese people but also among international visitors looking for authentic Japanese clothing that is easy to wear.
