Both are traditional Japanese men’s garments, but there are a few differences.
Jinbei
Jinbei is usually made with short sleeves and short pants.
It is a popular summer outfit for relaxing at home because it is light, comfortable, and cool.
Many people also wear Jinbei to summer festivals and fireworks events.
Samue
Samue is usually made with long sleeves and long pants.
Originally, it was worn by Buddhist monks while performing daily work.
Today, many people enjoy wearing Samue as comfortable everyday clothing or loungewear.
Because of its long sleeves and pants, it can be worn during more seasons of the year.
Which One Should You Choose?
If you want something cool and comfortable for hot summer days, Jinbei is a great choice.
If you want something you can enjoy throughout the year, Samue may be a better option.
Both are easy-to-wear Japanese garments that do not require a traditional obi belt.
