Tokyo Men’s Kimono Shop | Everyday Encounters with Overseas Guests

2025年10月12日

The other day, two parties dropped by on a weekday afternoon.
One was a Japanese customer who’s heading to Australia next week and wanted a men’s kimono to wear there.
The other was a visitor from Europe—Nordic vibes—who stopped in to choose a men’s kimono as a memory of their time in Japan.

It still feels a little mysterious and very special: people who go abroad from Tokyo, and people who come to Tokyo from abroad, all finding joy in men’s kimono.

These days, inbound visitors from all over the world also come to see men’s kimono and men’s yukata.
Kimono may be a Japanese tradition, but moments like these remind me how it crosses borders and connects people.
